While the undertaking of repainting sessions for upgrading the overall look and feel of your home is all abuzz with signing papers of a professional contractor’s, nothing calls for a better excuse to spend some exclusive time with your teens and tweens, and that too in the most unique way possible!

That’s right, allocating the task of repainting the walls of your kids’ bedrooms to none other than yourself with your children to assist you along the process is one of the most affordable and enjoyable ways to transform the vibe of your home all together. In order to spark ideas and motivation to budding parents, here are a few innovative concepts that are assured to rev up the VaVaVoom! factor of your rugrats’ sanctuaries, but are yet simple enough for naughty hands to tackle. What’s more, these impressions could be integrated in other chambers of your homely premises too, such as the study or the kitchen; have fun!

Please note – before you begin decorating your walls as elaborated below, it’s highly recommended that you putty and coat the surface of the walls that you wish to work upon with your desired shade of paint. Allow to dry for at least 24 to 36 hours prior to decorating.

For toddlers and children: handprints, flower gardens and everything else in between.

1) Impressions of body parts and vegetative resources: For the convenience of little hands, encouraging your toddler to dip his/her hands and feet in different shades of colourful, non-toxic paint for replicating impressions along the edges of walls is a splendid way to not just add a touch of uncanny personification to your child’s room, but is equally beneficial to stimulate a young mind upon the exposure of several captivating hues. Alternatively, you could use evenly chopped pieces of ladies’ fingers or potatoes carved in shapes of flowers or animals to strike a vibrant perspective in the same manner too.

2) Paint away to glory! For children who are old enough and capable of coordinating with a paintbrush and water colour set, presenting them with a sturdy brush and oil paint for articulating any creative forms of imagery that may be wafting in their minds is bound to be an activity that most kids would want to look forward to. With a plethora of themes to choose from, you can give your child the liberty to paint anything from apple trees to spaceships! Don’t forget to lend a helping hand in spots that are hard to reach or caricatures that are a challenge to procreate, though!

For adolescents: quotations, quotations and more quotations.

While Moms and Dads of most adolescents are in a state of rebellion if ever their teenage son or daughter wishes to recreate the look of their bedroom walls, it really won’t harm if you give in once in a while, indeed. Supporting your teen to add a touch of proverbial gesture by painting a few randomly in separate corners of the room can actually aid in overcoming chronic angst or depression, as a matter of fact!
